Follow-up Comment #26, bug #51512 (project octave):

Yes, file #41505 is the latest version I have here.

IMHO, it is fair to not implement the function span logic (now). Do you think
it would be possible to at least display a warning/info to a user that queries
formulas? Maybe something along the lines of "Formula in cell C2 spans
C2:H2."
But maybe that can be done in another bug report.
