Follow-up Comment #10:

Woops, you found a bug in the configure script.  It was just checking whether
ENABLE_JIT was defined (even though it was defined to "no") before calling
AC_DEFINE.  I fixed that on the stable branch here

Unfortunately, I still hang in decic.m.
