Follow-up Comment #10, bug #52804 (project octave): @Rik: can you confirm my observations from comment #8 and #9? It turns out to be due to be a race condition so you may not notice the regression on your system. In this cset http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/41cf6ee90cb6 I removed a "if (true)" block.
