Follow-up Comment #8, bug #43671 (project octave):
I still, with Octave 4.2.1, have two blinking I-beams when Command Window is
focused, and one blinking + one steady when Editor is focused. This is at the
very least confusing, and coloring the title bars is just a crutch, which
hardly helps, since blinking inside an unrelated editor distracts.
Just look at any other application which uses native Qt/GTK text edit widgets
— you'll never see inactive edit widget to have a text cursor, much less
blinking one.
