Follow-up Comment #12, bug #52996 (project octave): In the meantime, I think this change could be pushed then, it doesn't make the situation any worse, right? It just prevents the audio functions from ever being unloaded after audiodevinfo or audioplayer or audiorecorder are called once. Avoids segfaults in various ways.
