Follow-up Comment #8, bug #53277 (project octave): Ok, the %2d and %4d is useful to work around the bug. But it's still a bug, because textscan(...) does not work as intended. It does not do what is described in the documentation. The bug did not exist in previous versions of Octave, and it **did** break my code when it appeared.
