Thank you for your bug report. I assume you mean a function to compute the
logarithm of a number n with respect to a base m? If I am wrong, please
clarify.
If that is correct, I think it's very unlikely that this function will be
added in Octave. Octave already includes the functions log, log2, and log10,
each of which are well-known functions in the standard C math library as well
as in Matlab. And everyone already knows how to compute the logarithm with a
different base using these existing functions. It is hard to see what the
benefit of a new function or additional arguments would be.
