Follow-up Comment #120, bug #49053 (project octave):

@Ben: Nice artwork ... besides bug #48689 there is a scaling issue that I
think Rik mentionned in one of the 118 comments. I attached an updated patch
that should avoid the scaling issue in the resulting figure. Can you confirm?
If yes, does this fix have any effect on the framebuffer error you reported?

Rik also mentioned an issue with the text extents which I think I fixed (at
least partly) with the attached patch. Does the following look good?

annotation ("textbox", [0 0.5 0.2 0.2], "string", 
            "The box should have the same size as the text")

Also, on some linux distros, Qt 5.1 is not enough to get full offscreen
rendering support. What does the following return?
