Follow-up Comment #7, bug #53654 (project octave):

I don't think there's anything wrong with respect to the shadowing warning.

When you start octave with ./run-octave, it is passing the '--no-init-path'
option and the '--path=$dirs' option. When Octave starts with no initial path
(--no-init-path), then nothing will produce the shadowing warning.

Do you want to retitle and reuse this bug for making sure the image package
does something to avoid the warning on the next release?
