Follow-up Comment #11, bug #53189 (project octave):
According to bug #53809 (closed as a duplicate) this is still happening on
4.4.0
I don't see it on my 5.0.0 cross builds, but there the width reserved for
lines is bigger than what fits in the terminal (my own setting is usually ~90
chars wide) and as a consequence a horizontal scroll bar is always present.
