Follow-up Comment #3, bug #53627 (project octave): I pushed the following changeset: http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/fa66d81d0956 If this causes trouble on Mac or Windows systems, then we can undo whatever is needed and make it conditional.
