Follow-up Comment #7, bug #54100 (project octave):

Avoid putting computations in loop limits, e.g.:


for (int i=0;i<input_buf_elts/block_size;i++)


if the variables do not change within the loop (especially divisions, given
they either are algorithm based or use a coprocessor which means more more
clock cycles).  Instead, pre-compute the value stored in some stack variable.
