Follow-up Comment #2, bug #54299 (project octave): Adding Markus in cc. I ran hg bisect and it tells me this bug was first introduced with changeset https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/64715551b515 Markus - did you test this with HDF5 1.8 or 1.10 or both?
