Follow-up Comment #1, bug #54578 (project octave):
Most of the entries in the context menu were added in changeset
http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/1f1e1e72e958
Of course, on can discuss if all of these are really required/useful but the
context menu of, e.g. "geany" (which I am using) is comparable (or even more
crowded).
"Help on ...", "Documentation on ..." and "Edit ..." were already existing
before the changeset mentioned above. Personally I think, those three entries
are directly related to the right mouse click and should not be removed.
Maybe, it is time to make the menus and the tool bar configurable ...
