Follow-up Comment #119, bug #53006 (project octave):

Ok, my previous suggestion did not work. New idea: did you guys consider to
make the two error messages 

"Could not copy help collection to temporary file. Search capabilities may be
affected. Cannot open collection file:
/usr/share/octave/5.0.0/doc/octave_interpreter.qhc"

and

"Could not setup the data required for the documentation viewer. Only help
texts in
the Command Window will be available."

that I have to acknowledge at every startup less annoying, e.g. just showing a
warning message in terminal? (I compiled head without-docs which is nothing
evil...)
