Details:

Failure on hg -v clone  https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave
at end of downloading:

getting test/switch.tst
getting test/unwind.tst
abort: HTTP Error 502: Bad Gateway  

This first occurred when updating to kernel 29. 

502 means:
The 502 Bad Gateway error is an HTTP status code that means that one server on
the internet received an invalid response from another server.

This is likely due to kernel 29, but???
