URL: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?55456> Summary: "dbstop if all error" support Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: apjanke Submitted on: Sat 12 Jan 2019 06:00:24 AM UTC Category: GUI Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Feature Request Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: dev Operating System: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: Matlab has a convenient "dbstop if all error" command that allows you to set a breakpoint that triggers whenever an error is raised, even if that error is inside a try/catch block. This lets you get right to the original cause of an error when it happens deep inside a call stack with multiple try/catch blocks. It would be nice if Octave could add support for this. I see a similar (unimplemented) "dbstop if caught error" in the "dbstop" documentation, but I think this would be a bit different. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?55456> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
