Details:

I installed Octave 4.4.1 on HiDPI Windows 10 using the binary Windows
installers from https://www.gnu.org/software/octave/download.html. (Nice
Windows packaging, by the way! It was an easy install and a nice-looking
application.)

In the initial dialog boxes presented on the first run, the third one
("Enjoy!") was layed out wrong: some panels and text areas were too small for
the text they contained, so text got truncated and I couldn't read some of it
(it was just cut off; not an issue with my eyesight or font size).

And then the initial Octave window was sized really small relative to the text
size.

This is probably just a HiDPI issue where something's not scaling hi-res
pixels right.

This was on a vmWare VM running Windows 10 with updates current as of Jan 15
2019, on macOS 10.13.6 on a Late 2015 5K iMac; VM configured with "Use full
resolution for Retina display" enabled.

Totally minor cosmetic issue. But still, it's a first impression for new users
coming to Octave; these things can matter.

Screenshots attached.
