Follow-up Comment #20, bug #55528 (project octave):

I pushed up a patch for pango that will hopefully fix the error, if someone
can check that works ok on a win7 machine


It doesnt fix the issue with not displaying the plot window, which appears to
be something that changes in octave rather than updated libraries in mxe.
