Follow-up Comment #40, bug #55268 (project octave):

@Ben: Does regular plotting produce a segfault if you don't have the patch for
this bug applied?  We wouldn't want to introduce that sort of side effect just
to have the images build.

Also, could you test whether closing the figure before exiting helps?
