Follow-up Comment #3, bug #55587 (project octave): Interesting, The example in comment #2 runs with error for me on the stable and development branches. Are you using the option "--disable-float-truncate" during configure? Are you running an Intel processor? Also attaching my original test file. I will use your script to see if I can isolate a failing example of my own.
