Here are a set of compilation helpers (Unix to MSVC translation) and a
slightly modified glob, as received from David Bateman. Code modifications
relate to local inclusion of opendir/readdir/... I also modified the configure
scripts to be able to use the Unix-to-MSVC scripts.
