Well, there's this: I just did
cd /usr/local/src/octave
make clean
cvs update
./autogen.sh
./configure
make
...
making var.texi from var.txi
ignoring duplicate entry for rmpath
ignoring duplicate entry for addpath
ignoring duplicate entry for ls
making vr-idx.texi from vr-idx.txi
ignoring duplicate entry for rmpath
ignoring duplicate entry for addpath
ignoring duplicate entry for ls
vr-idx.texi is unchanged
makeinfo -I.. -I. -I./.. ./octave.texi
DISPLAY= ../../run-octave -f -q -H -p . --eval "sparseimages ('gplot', 'eps'); sleep
(1);"
panic: Segmentation fault -- stopping myself...
attempting to save variables to `octave-core'...
save to `octave-core' complete
make[3]: *** [gplot.eps] Segmentation fault
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/local/src/octave/doc/interpreter'
make[2]: *** [interpreter] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/local/src/octave/doc'
make[1]: *** [doc] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/local/src/octave'
make: *** [all] Error 2
I've noticed this in the past; I believe that if I do a "make install" then it
will work.
