GUI

Is anybody working on a MATLAB-style GUI functions for octave?  In other 
words, create a user-defined GUI for data entry and display.

I have had a couple of cracks at this using simple m files and have had 
no real success.  I have some ideas about how to proceed, but don't want 
to bump up against other work.  In addition, it would be useful to 
discuss this with somebody before proceeding, since there are a number 
of significant issues involved.
