Ben,

Can you try removing test_bc_overloads.m and running 'make check'
again.  This will force make to rebuild the file.  I had the exact same
problem until I checked in a patch at revision 10097.  At that point
make had become very confused about which files were up to date in my
build tree and it didn't overwrite test_bc_overloads.m until I forced it
to be regenerated.
