Yes, well, for me that is part of the appeal of a bug tracker.
But seriously, the point is that an archive of bug reports that keeps
comments about a particular bug in one place is better than a mailing
list archive.
And, for my personal sanity, I would rather have the backlog of bug
reports in a database on the web rather than in my inbox.
