another round of cleaning in src

[CdeMills]

The following changeset removes various warnings produced when configured
with --enable-strict-warnings. I didn't touch
ov.h: it still requires some work to avoid using static data
graphics.h: I didn't dare to touch graphics.h.in
ov-mex : didn't see which default values to give to members
