It seems that there has been great success in getting 3.4.3 to build on
Windows platforms. Is it safe to point Windows users to this new distribution?

It feels like the bug tracker has seen a lot of reports lately for issues
filed against the 3.2.4 version of Octave on Windows. 3.2.4 is unsupported
at this point and many of the bugs that are being reported have already
been fixed. It is annoying, and I have limited time, to keep closing these
recurring bugs. I would like to be able to point users to a 3.4.X release
of Octave and have them replicate the problem in a supported release before
investigating any further.

Part of the problem is the Octave for Windows page
(http://wiki.octave.org/wiki.pl?OctaveForWindows) which shows 3.2.4 as the
first release. We should reverse the order and put the most current stable
release at the top of the page and list archived past releases further on.
I think most people assume, usually correctly, that the first listed
download is the one you want and that is not the case for 3.2.4.
