Unable to install 4.0 with Ubuntu

Just a note to report that I have been unable to install Octave 4.0 under Ubuntu 14.2. ./config either terminates unexpectedly or reports an out of memory error on a system with 1.5GB. I Reverted back to Octave 3.8.1 with no problems. On my last try with 4.0, installation terminated unexpectedly while executing 
"CXX corefcn /corefcn_libcorefcn-graphics /o.
Installed Octave 4.0 on Windows XP using the windows installer with no problems.
