Follow-up Comment #20, patch #8656 (project octave):

Not getting structs to work any time soon, I'm afraid. I need to figure out
how a lot of things work differently and I don't know how much time I'll have
for a couple of weeks at least.

This patch is mostly cleanup. I'd left a debug message in there, icons weren't
all working, that kind of thing. May be the last for a while but if you find
any significant bugs I'll try to jump on them.

I agree about the usefulness of the variable editor, I used it extensively
when producing my thesis. Copy and paste to LibreOffice, format nicely, export
as LaTeX.
