Hi Lauralea,

The size of the header is variable; the API of the IlmImf library
does not currently include a function that queries the size of the
header.

http://www.openexr.com/openexrfilelayout.pdf describes the on-disk
layout of OpenEXR files, including the header.

Why do you need to know the size of the header?
