Hi!
I submitted patch #3948, please take a look.
Changes summary:
au88x0.c: upgraded dma initialization to use pci_set_dma_mask
and pci_set_consistent_dma_mask, added missing
snd_card_set_dev call (as in alsa documentation)
au88x0.h: fixed mmio access with 64 bit pointers
au88x0.h, au88x0_core.c, au88x0_eq.c, au88x0_eq.h,
au88x0_eqdata.c, au88x0_synth.c, au88x0_xtalk.h: changed some
parameters size to int, changed struct fields to be 32bit.
au88x0_mpu401.c: probably also fixed mpu401 initialization
errors
I now have playback working, but it is mono only (tuning left-right scroller
does not noticeably change output), and PCM volume control seems to be broken
as well - it's like increasing as low-mid-high-low-mid-high where it should be
in low-mid-high range

Kind regards,
