[Pan-users] Can't make an RPM with RH 7.3 and pan-0.11.93.tar.bz2

Well, just updated my system to RH 7.3 this week. Among all the other
goodies, it's now possible for me to play with the new, cutting edge 11.93
branch of Pan. It feels good to be back on the cutting edge of my favorite
program.

I usually like to "roll my own" RPMS from the release tarballs, but I'm
having a bit of trouble with pan-0.11.93.tar.bz2. The binary seems to
compile cleanly, but RPM seems to have trouble making the actual package
right at the end. Here's the error message I got:

>>>>>
Provides: pan
Requires: gtk+ >= 1.2.10 glib >= 1.2.8 gnome-libs >= 1.0.16 libxml >= 1.8.11
gdk-pixbuf >= 0.10.1

RPM build errors:
    File not found: /var/tmp/pan-0.11.93-1-buildroot/usr/bin/pan
>>>>>

Hmmm, trying this:

address@hidden doug]$ ll /var/tmp/pan-0.11.93-1-buildroot/usr/bin/
total 1016k
-rwxr-xr-x    1 doug     doug        1009k Jun  1 07:50 i386-redhat-linux-pan

Well I guess that's the reason, the binary is named i386-redhat-linux-pan
instead of just plain ole pan.

I installed the regular binary RPM of 0.11.93, and it seems to be working
fine, but I would prefer to make my own.
