first off make sure you have the rpm-build build package installed.

next run the following.

rpm --recompile pan-0.12.0-1.src.rpm

-snip compilation output-

Wrote: /path/to/built/rpm/pan-0.12.0-1.i386.rpm

-snip cleanup-

rpm -Uvh /path/to/built/rpm/pan-0.12.0-1.i386.rpm
