[Pan-users] In Pan v0.11.4, how do I select the first article without reading it?

Basically, I am trying to tag each thread with binary attachment as I hold
down the ctrl key. But I have to click (without ctrl-key) on the first
thread before clicking others with ctrl-key held down. Am I doing this
wrong? The reason why I ask is because it is annoying to have to download
a thread, wait for my slow old computer (Pentium 2 300 Mhz with 384 MB of
RAM) to use its CPU at max for a minute (a bug?) to show the message.
