Some info here, from my limited store of Usenet knowledge: "From" and
"Message-ID" are standard headers you receive when you get headers from
the server. For others, such as "Path", you have to make a special
request.

Both of these headers are only available if you specifically ask the
server for them; otherwise, they are only downloaded with the body of the
message. I *think* you have to ask for them one at a time. If that's
true, then grabbing these headers for all messages would dramatically
increase the time it took to load headers for a newsgroup, because for
each article, Pan would have to connect to the server and ask for
extended header info.
(I recall this from using "suck" -- you *could* write filters or
killfiles using these headers, but if you did so, you would see "Getting
XOVER headers" or some such, and this would take a long time.)
Anyway, knowing this, I can understand why such a thing would not be
implemented at this stage of Pan's development... though it could be a
useful thing for those willing to sacrifice the time and bandwidth for
it. :)
