[Pan-users] Message threads fail to collapse

I've raised this question last month, but received no replies.

I'm running pan-0.11.2 under RH 7.3.

For no apparent reason, all threads on all subscribed groups are
expanded. Clicking "collapse threads" under the view menu has no
effect. In Edit, Preferences, Display Threads, the button to expand
threads by default is not clicked.

Have I run across a bug or am I simply missing some obvious
configuration?  I tried to find a pan configuration file that defined
whether threads are viewed as collapsed, but no luck.
