I've briefly tried beta 2 on an old P100 with Windows 98 SE.

It did work, but not without issues:

- Shortly after the first reboot, after installing Pan, the mouse didn't
work. I didn't reboot between between the GTK2.2 and Pan installs. I
rebboted once more, and the mouse worked.

- When starting Pan, an MSDOS window pops up with this message:

"Message after saving initial settings pops up in a MSDOS window:
(pan.exe:4290882025): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading menu image: Image
header corrupt"

In addition, Pan (GTK?) is *extremely* slow on this computer, far too
slow to be useful. But it's just a P100 with 64 MB FP-RAM and no L2
cache. I've also tried Pan under Mandrake Linux 9.0 on the same
computer, where it was slow, but far less than in Windoze.
