This is in bugzilla right now in

and it's certainly frustrating. :)
The odd thing is that you can set your max connections to just one
so that the files are downloaded single-file as in 0.13.3, and it
fails.
You can even circumvent the socket pools altogether by turning on
"show all parts in a multipart", flagging all the parts, downloading
them, restarting pan, __going offline__, and hitting "save attachments".
it still fails.
Since I can't reproduce this problem, so far I'm relying on others
to jump through the hoops of testing different theories.
If any hacker wants to lend a hand with this, feel free. :)
