Using a period in unquoted text breaks rfc822. See RFC 822 appendix D;
the From: header's contents fits the "mailbox" definition.
Mr. Lees should wrap his name in quotes; i.e.,
From: "Keith A. Lees" <keith/at/kalees.co.uk>

GMime eats the invalid character and reparses the header.
