Actually, I promoted this to 0.14.1 after finding http://faces.sourceforge.net/,
which has a lot of code for X-Face support in gdk that can be dropped into Pan.
:)
If 0.14.1 turns into a bugfix release, X-Face will be bumped to a later 0.14.x.
