yep i have to do a simlar thing because the free one doesnt carry binaries & the two commercial ones i subscribe to dont carry the same groups or get all the posts.

when you say hop from one... till they are closed. Do they close never to reopen or do you just use your daily limit. if the first, you are out of luck i think, if the second you have to create individual news server entries for each and subscribe to the relevant groups individually. i tried doing it using the same .newsrc file but it didnt work.

for that matter, this situation is where it would be ideal to be able to configure the pan "behaviour" preferences individually for each news provider you subscribe to.

Due to my ISP not providing a news server, I often hop from one open server
to another until they are closed.

My question is how do I transfer the list of subscribed newsgroups from an
existing server to a new one? I understand that the news article counts may
not match between servers, but I just need the newsgroups transferred,
that's all.
