Hello,

I do agree with the feature request. Pan is keeping much information
about all the messages in all groups, and it can be very annoying. For
the use I have, the .newsrc file is enough (just to know which messages
are read and which aren't). I am trying to install a graphical
newsreader for my university, on a system where we have more than 2000
users sharing a few drives, so persistent hard-disk space is /very/
limited (disks are saved every night, ...).
