The wrapped link you just posted is not clickable in Pan, nor in my
email client, and that probably applies to most other newsreaders and
email clients as well.

Thereore I'm totally against wrapping URLs when sending.

Wrapping long URLs only when _displaying_ messages, which I hope is what
your're asking for, is more useful, but I don't really see the need for
it.  In those rare cases when one actually wants to _read_ the full
contents of a URL that's too long to fit in the body pane, using the
horizontal scroll bar should be sufficient.

A feature request about being able to click wrapped URLs would be more
useful, as usenet is polluted with lots of them.

BTW, there's already a feature request in Bugzilla about skipping
the >80 characters/line warning for long URLs:
