That /used/ to be an option, but I /believe/ it was one of the options
removed as not used often enough to be worth the clutter. (Remember, PAN
is a GTK app, not a KDE app. I prefer KDE to Gnome, precisely /because/
they give this power user control of such things. Unfortunately, knode
wasn't a very good binary news client last I checked, tho that's been
awhile, so PAN it is..)

Thus, I expect the only way to change it now would be to change the
source. Not a big deal for us Gentoo users who compile from source using
an ebuild, or for tarball installers, anyway, particularly if one knows at
least enough how to /read/ the source to change it. (I do that on
occasion, tho I don't claim to know C or C++ either one well enough to
actually /program/ with them.) However, for those used to loading .debs or
.rpms, it /might/ be a big deal.

However, a couple times I've thought an option was gone, only to have
someone point out it was there, but I'd somehow missed it. So.. perhaps
you'll be in luck. (I like having the ability to change that myself, but
it's not been a big enough issue to worry about.)
