There are some options you might want to follow:

- Take the PAN package from 

ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/drahn/9.2-i386/

Which will give you a somewhat current CVS release level and thus
incorporates Charles' latest fixes. The package is built with spell
checking enabled.

- Wait till Monday. I will probably put out a 9.2 package (latest 
  stable release, no beta or CVS release) then with spell checking
  enabled.

- Build PAN yourself.
