I actually got it done late last night, I will be sending the install package to Charles to be posted if he feels that it meets his standards.

It does have some memory usage issues and it actually crashed at around 95% on me when I was testing it on a large newsgroup but it is certainly an improvement.

If you would like to test it I can email you the package, but no warranties if your PC catches fire etc.. ;)

Thanks,
Darren

I use Pan both on Linux and on Windows XP - Does anyone have a build
environment that will build Pan for Win32 so I can have the same
(huge) improvements on both systems. I can build on Linux fine. I've
been using the binary builds from the pan website, but would like to
move forward a sub-version or three :)

I assume that MinGW or Cygwin are the way to go?

There's an active thread on it on the pan-devel list/group right now. I'd
suggest you pop over there and read it. (The guy trying to get it to
work, as of yesterday, hadn't been able to yet, but if he does, he's
planning to make it available for download, either on the PAN site or on
his own. I haven't yet checked the group today, tho I see several unread
posts. That's my next stop. Try gmane.org if you want to grab the list
as a group, as I do, or wish to view it on the web, as is possible if you
don't want to subscribe to devel just for that.)
