This has been reported, but I think it got missed the first time around. 
It bothers me too, and was especially annoying with .99, since the
download all groups button was broken, and I couldn't select all the
groups to use downloaded selected groups, so I had to hit the button for
each group! =8^(

Hopefully Charles notes and fixes it this time around.  =8^)

The >=0.90 PAN has no per-group saved UI state at all, AFAIK.  Charles has
said it will be back, but at least for my request (remembering posting
profile per group), he said not likely until after 1.0, which I believe he
intends to be the next stable, and for release some time this year.  Based
on that, I'm guessing any such per-group state retention will be post 1.0.

(No idea on the other points.)
