You're there :)

It's "message ID domain name" when you open a specific posting profile. 
No worries, as your headers give a message id domain of gmane.org, which
is fine.  If you'll notice, the header for my messages now reflect my FQDN
(fully qualified domain name), which is "arrakis.homelinux.org".

You're probably connecting pan directly to gmane?  In my case, I'm using
leafnode to facilitate offline reading.
