Yes, that's pan's warning.  But note that it's a warning.  You can still 
post if you like.  It's designed to encourage good netkeeping and in 
fact, that such a warning exist but that it's ONLY a warning is part of 
the GNKSA that pan so proudly wears the 100% certification from (see the 
GNKSA info on the pan web site and follow the links from there for more).

Of course, that's not the main problem, just an aside, but I thought I'd 
confirm that it is a pan warning.

Your reply and mine, both to his post, probably crossed.  That message-ID 
hypothesis, or something similar to it, looks likely.  There are 
troubleshooting suggestions in that reply.
